Green minute

Is snow still being made?

No! Snowmaking is permitted from the end of November to the middle/end of February.

Snowmaking on the pistes is only intended in winter - when temperatures are below freezing.

Snowmaking ends at the end of February at the latest so that the snow can melt again in spring - as nature intended.

The rule is: support natural snow, don't force it.

Incidentally, there is nothing artificial about the machine-produced snow: like natural snow, it consists only of water and cold air.
