Hiking in the foothills of the Alps

The Brauneck belongs to the Bavarian Pre-Alps and, together with the Achselköpfen, forms the Benediktenwand mountain group. The peaks of the Bavarian Pre-Alps barely rise above the 2000 m mark and only occasionally show pronounced limestone rock faces.

It is these walls and peaks that make up the scenic charm of the Brauneck region and offer a variety of natural and picturesque hiking and walking trails to suit all abilities.
