Located between the Loisach and Isar rivers, just a deer's leap from Munich, lies one of the most beautiful recreational destinations in the Bavarian Alps, Brauneck mountain.

At an elevation of 1,555 meters, visitors look out over the picturesque splendors of the Isarwinkel region. The Panorama Restaurant, situated directly above the top station of the Brauneck cable car, not only offers spectacular views but also excellent regional specialities. With a little bit of luck, you might see a native ibex in the wild during an early morning hike or on one of the more than 200 climbing routes.

Brauneck mountain is known - and loved - among paragliders and hang-gliders for its normally excellent thermal lift and optimum take-off and landing conditions.
