Brauneck mountain, located in the picturesque Isarwinkel region, is part of the Bavarian Alps and together with the Achselköpfe and Benediktenwand mountain forms the Benediktenwand mountain range.
At the foot of Brauneck mountain lies the town of Lenggries with its long rafting tradition. It is also a popular winter sports resort and home to a number of internationally renowned skiers.
Just a few kilometers away, also situated on the banks of the Isar river, lies Bad Tölz with its picturesque historic city center that delights all visitors to the town.
